Spring Field Trips

We're gearing up for Spring 2023 school field trips! Visit the farm and learn about how strawberries or blackberries are grown in Texas. Young' uns, teachers, and parents will have a blast rotating around the farm in groups. Have free play-time where kids can climb on our giant playscapes and play in the game barn. Visit the adventure farm to bounce on our giant jumping pads and take a wagon ride around the farm to see wildflowers. Visit the Rockberry Barnyard and Petting Corral and meet our friendly llamas, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and more.

Field Trip Activities:

Field Trip Activities Include:  Giant Sand Pit, Custom Playscapes, Barn Games, Rockberry Barnyard and Petting Corral, Jumping Pillow, Bee Train, Tractor Wagon Ride, and berry fields (depending on crops). Remember, this is a hands on experience on a real working farm!

Available activities will depend on the time of year your group visits. Additionally, we are not open to the general public during field trips, so not all activities will be accessible.

Food & Drink

School groups are encouraged to bring their own sack lunches for a picnic in our open-air barn or picnic pavilion. You’re also welcome to bring blankets and have a picnic out on the farm!

Upon Arrival:

Students will unload from buses, enter the farm and wait as a group, while the lead teacher will head to the entrance to pay for the entire group of students and chaperones with a school check or cash. At this time, all signed waivers will be turned in and wristbands distributed to the teacher for each paid chaperone/parent. Each class, along with teachers and parents, will then head to orientation for a brief review of policies and reminders for a safe and fun visit.

Helpful Tips:

  • Dress appropriately, and remember to be mindful of the weather. Socks and close-toed shoes are always strongly recommended. Socks are required to play on the Jumping Pillow.

  • Consolidate lunches in labeled boxes and/or wheeled coolers. All lunches will be stored inside the gate where you may retrieve them at the time of your scheduled lunch.

  • In the event of cancellation, contact  Rockberry Ranch a minimum of 10 business days prior to your scheduled event. If you fail to cancel 10 days prior, you agree to pay in full for your event.

  • Because we are a farm in a rural location, we do not have adequate trash service to accommodate for our large field trip crowds. To avoid attracting critters, we require that you take your trash to your school dumpsters. We will provide trash bags for your use. Please appoint one parent per class in advance to help you with this task.
